EXHIBITION PROJECT "HOUSEWARE EXPO 2010" & "GIFTS EXPO. AUTUMN 2010" IS A MEETING POINT FOR PROFESSIONALS OF THE SECTOR.
Eastern Europe's biggest international exhibition project - "HOUSEWARE EXPO 2010"
& "GIFTS EXPO. AUTUMN 2010"
was successfully held on 21 - 24 of September in Moscow, in GOSTINY DVOR & MANEZH Exhibition Complexes, under the patronage of the Moscow Government, under the support of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gifts, Houseware and Costume Jewellery Manufacturers and Suppliers Association.
Exhibition project "HOUSEWARE EXPO 2010"
& "GIFTS EXPO. AUTUMN 2010"
is an effective business area for commercial contacts and negotiations, for professional exchange of business information. It's the major project in the sector, the brightest, largest and most prestigious, reflecting all trends of development of the world production and sales of gifts, interior items, Christmas and festive goods, tableware and dining decor, houseware, business souvenirs and corporative gifts, costume jewellery & accessories.
Participation in the exhibition project is an effective way to advertise and promote products in Russia. The following factors favour a large amount of exhibitors and visitors (30 000 buyers from all over Russia: representatives of wholesale companies, buyers of trade nets, directors of shops, corporate clients, advertising agencies, interior designers and many others):

620 companies participated in the exhibition project at the total area of 18 800 sq.m., among them 75 foreign exhibitors from 18 countries: Italy, Germany, Spain, Bulgaria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Japan, Turkey, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, China, Korea, Israel, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan. National expositions from Italy, Japan, Indonesia, India, Hong Kong and Taiwan were organized at the fair.

the following product categories were presented: tableware of porcelain, ceramics, glass, metal, plastic, dining decor, kitchenware, HoReCa, home textile, home decorations & interior items, bathroom & toilet accessories, household appliances, illuminators, cleaning & supplies, household chemicals, health & wellness.

salon was characterized by variety of products: VIP gifts, souvenirs from worldwide, gifts and souvenirs for interior decoration, decorative ceramics, glasses, porcelain, silver, bronze, leather, wood, textile, metal items (vases, figurines, souvenir arms, caskets and many others), retro styled interior items, ethnic interior items, decorative furniture, clocks, floral art, aqua design, pictures, reproductions, posters, carpets, Gobelin tapestry, lighting design, mantelpieces, statues and figures for interior and outdoor decoration, toys etc.
Ceramic interior items in Chinese style (dragons, fish), Italian ceramics (especially statuettes of persons of different professions), statuettes of Justice and Fortune, pictures on the silk were in demand at the fair. According to exhibitors' opinion, interior designers give preference to light color gamut or on the contrary bright colors (red, orange).
At "TABLEWARE AND DINING DECOR"
salon the whole spectrum of houseware and tableware, items for table setting and table decoration was presented: tableware for home & office, public & elite catering, tableware made of glass, crystal, porcelain, ceramics, silver, metal and other materials, exclusive tableware, cutlery, items for table setting, tea and coffee sets, dining decor, kitchenware, textile products for home and many others.
Ceramic products were especially popular: in opinion of some exhibitors, the market is saturated with the glass whereas high quality ceramic goods are not enough presented in the market. Nevertheless glass and crystal tableware is still popular, especially with strass incrustation, with metal pictures on it.
Original products continue to be in demand: tableware of unusual form or color with different fanciful designs.
"CHRISTMAS AND FESTIVE DECORATIONS"
salon offered a wide range of New Year and festive products: New Year toys and decorations, New Year artificial trees, decorative and aroma candles, carnival costumes, floral art, gift packing etc.
Traditionally on the threshold of New Year many exhibitors presented the symbol of the year - figurines, toys, pictures of rabbit / cat. Acrylic products (figurines of angels, deer) as well as Christmas cribs were also in demand - the trend that came to the Russian market from catholic Europe, particularly from Germany and Italy. New Year products (New Year trees, decorations, garlands) are made in golden, silver and white colors. Florists give preference to orange color. New Year tree decoration with poinsettia is in fashion.
More than 200 participants of "BUSINESS SOUVENIRS AND CORPORATIVE GIFTS"
salon presented business souvenirs, promotion products, corporative VIP-gifts and souvenirs, office supplies, leather goods, polygraph production, prizes and rewards, gift wrapping etc.
Unusual souvenir products are still in demand: the market is oversaturated by classical assortment and the customer visits the fair to find souvenir novelties. In business leather accessories sector, for example, items with unusual stamping and color are popular. The customer shows preference to original items. For example, alcohol dispenser became the best seller at one of the stands.
Among classical corporate gifts picnic sets, ships' models, business card holders, caskets continue to be popular.
"COSTUME JEWELLERY AND ACCESSORIES"
salon included 109 exhibitors. They introduced the most famous trademarks, new tendencies and the latest collections of fashion accessories, bijouterie and jewellery. The products range presented at the fair was very wide and could satisfy requires of customers with different level of income.
Bijouterie made of felt or with use of other cloth were very popular among the fair visitors. Massive beads, large bracelets and ear rings are still in fashion but the demand moves to more elegant costume jewellery. Items with brooch are in fashion, e.g. beads with attached flower or hair accessories with bows and flowers. Long ear rings, brooches and pendants in the form of insects (butterflies, bees, ladybirds) are in demand. Bijouterie is made in Autumn colors: brown, green, violet.
